          Violin: If you have a violin please bring it. No matter the condition or age of the instrument, I am always glad to discuss violins. I am happy to give you the information that I can tell you about your instrument when I see it and if it is suitable for your use.

          If you are just starting and do not own one yet, this is what you should know. Violins come in different sizes. The size that you need depends on how long your arms are. Violins come in 1/16,1/8,1/4, ½, ¾, and a full size. If you are over twelve and tall most likely the full size should be a good size for you. If you are younger, then the palm of your left hand should be able to cup the top of the violin scroll. If you can not reach the scroll’s top, then either Carol or I will be glad to help you find the correct size will fit you.
